Summary

This position works closely with the live production and growout manager in support of the live production unit of the Perry, GA complex.  Position requires excellent communication skills, knowledge of MS Office as well as Maximo, MTECH and other software programs as needed.  In addition, communication with hatchery, feedmill, growout, flock advisors and producers must be efficient and effective.

Candidate must be flexible in a fast paced environment and must be a self motivated person with a focus on success. 

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the harvest schedule, placement schedule and other MTECH derived information as required on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.  Also, distribute the reports as directed.
  • Call producers with movement times and inform and distribute movement times to flock advisors and other required parties.
  • Work with growout on rebooking farms for chicks and any other items that may be farm specific including grower personal accounts, demand notes and supplies that may need to be procured.
  • Input invoicing information into Maximo and submit PO’s for approval.  Also manage direct stamped items for the Live Production manager.   
  • Manage and order items for the warehouse and for the growout to insure supplies like coveralls, poultry supplies and other items are readily available.
  • Any other items at the discretion of the live production manager. 

Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma. Must be computer literate in MS Office software.  

Experience Preferred

Associates Degree or technical school training.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  1. Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  2. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  3. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  4. Work activity is in an office.
