Perdue AgriBusiness has an opening for an Maintenance Supervisor at our Bainbridge, PA facility. 

This position will be responsible to supervise staff, plan and implement all maintenance activities in the plant in order to maximize production while adhering to standard safe practices and procedures; maintain systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules, restoring, repairing, rebuilding or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the maintenance team to include hiring, training, engaging, and developing the team to meet the needs of the Department.
  • Lead and manage the safety programs within maintenance to ensure safe working conditions for all associates and compliance with all local, state and federal requirements.
  • Lead and manage the environmental programs within maintenance to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal requirements.
  • Ensure planning and execution of maintenance activities meet established expectations of operations team and Maintenance Management Team.
  • Lead and manage the food safety programs within maintenance to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal requirements.
  • Design, develop, establish, and regularly review the long range plans and performance expectations of the maintenance department with the operations team(s).   In conjunction with the Maintenance Management Team.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Management Team to establish and regularly review the plans and implementation of the Reliability Improvement program within the facilities.
  • Manage the corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance programs for assigned assets while maintaining the established protocols of the centralized maintenance department.

Minimum Education

BS degree in Engineering or related discipline or technical education equivalent

Experience/Qualifications Requirements

  • 5 years of related experience
  • Experience with maintenance management systems and process
  • Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Experience with manufacturing technologies and processes
  • Experience using standard software application
  • Strong communication, math, organizational, and analytical skills

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. 3. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.  May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
