Material Manager

Summary

Support the strategic initiatives of the Company by successfully fulfilling the following:

-  Achieve on-time as required assigned materials in support of existing products and new product introductions and product enhancements.  Manage the transactional procurement cycle for assigned materials.

-  Contribute to company profitability by managing the inventory of assigned materials on behalf of consilidated company requirements.

-  Achieve customer satisfaction by ensuring that quality and availability of assigned materials meet and exceed internal and external requirements.

 

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1.  Develop and maintain material requirments plans to ensure uninterrupted supply of assigned materials while minimizing investment.

2.  Perform supplier qualification and certification, performance evaluation, material plan preparation and execution purchase order preparation.

3.  Coordinate material availability to support new packages, products or processes.

4.  Maintain all packaging specifications for specified product types.

5.  Ensure compliance to all company requirements within assigned areas of responsibility.

6.  Recruit, develop and retain talented associates for future growth and diversification.

Minimum Education

College degree in areas of Business Adminstration or C.P.M. required.

Experience Requirements

Must have strong communication, analytical, computer and math skills.   Sourcing, contract management, material planning and experience working with packaging graphics and atwork preferred.

Experience Preferred

The minimum number of Years and/or Months of Prior ang Related experience preferred to be considered for this position is:  5 years.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Associate will work in a corporate office environment.  Must be able to travel to manufacturing facilities, supplier's facilities and customers to include overnight travel.
