Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness, has an immediate full-time job opening for a Union Soy Process Laborer at our facility in Chesapeake, VA. The Soy Process Laborer is responsible to provide housekeeping and general labor duties throughout the soybean plant.

This position is a full-time, benefit eligible position that requires 12-hour, rotational shifts.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operate housekeeping equipment to include mowing, trimming, and sweeping equipment.
Perform routine operator maintenance on housekeeping equipment.
Perform other routine housekeeping activities to include painting, dusting, and shoveling.
Perform other routine labor task as directed.
Perform all work within the safety guidelines established by local state, and federal agencies as well as company policies.

Preferred Education

High School or GED, Further education is preferred.

Experience Requirements

TWIC application is required
General industry safety knowledge.
Must possess basic omputer skills and be familiar with operating process from a computer-based system.
Multi-tasking a must.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
