Summary

The Central Regional Sales Manager is a direct sales management position with a pre-established direct and Food Broker Sales network. This position will also call on new and existing regional accounts and will be responsible for maintaining and growing existing business as well as generating new accounts.  In this position you will be responsible for interacting with the entire Coleman Natural Foods team and will have financial responsibility to maintain and grow the Coleman Natural fresh and processed product through both the retail and foodservice customers within the region. This position is responsible for directing all elements of the sales process within the region from direct sales presentations, customer business reviews and broker partner training/evaluations.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Develops the regional sales plan and sets strategy for region including: goals for volume, selling price, revenue, mix, market share and P & L; establishes a budget to control spending; contributes meaningful input to the fiscal planning process.

2. Will act as a technical representative to the customer. Providing training, creating sales presentations and solutions to business issues that face the customer.

3. Responsible for forecasting the sales volume for your region.  Establishes customer programs and plans to accomplish the regional goals.

4. Responsible for the regions sales standards, supply chain initiatives, broker training, sales presentation and selling techniques utilizing fact based selling.

5. Leads the coordination of multiple resources to successfully close sales on new accounts.

6. Utilizes and maintains the customer database as a tool for accurate account information, communicating weekly account updates and upcoming meetings.

7. Assumes responsibilities of accounts run by corporate sales and/or sales directors. This could include sales appointments and managing new item launches, feature programs, etc.

8. Continuously improves skills by participating in training classes and seminars as deemed necessary in the developmental plan.

9. Trains, establish goals and accountabilities, and career development of any sales associates and/or broker partner within the region.

10. Travel typically 40%-60% but will vary.

Minimum Education

Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing or Business Administration.

Experience Requirements

8 - 10 years experience.  Requires strong reading, writing, communication and analytical skills.  Management experience required.  Must be able to communicate with customers and suppliers.  Must be able to travel overnight ot customer/vendor locations and/or plant locations.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.  May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
