Summary
The Soy Crew Leader will ensure associates comply with safety, food safety, and quality policies and procedures while providing oversight to the processing operations to meet customer demand for our products.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure working conditions for all associates comply with the safety and environmental guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies, as well as company policies
- Ensure adherence to food safety and quality assurance procedures by crew members
- Assist the facility manager in coordinating and directing the daily activities of crews and teams for Soy Crushing and Grain Operations functions
- Train, develop, and follow up to ensure team members can perform the required operational tasks
- Cover positions when and wherever needed, to avoid any undue hardship on other associates
- Maintain daily records and logs for safety, quality, and productivity. Send reports to the facility manager as directed and communicate results to associates
Minimum Education Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience Requirements
- Knowledge of manufacturing technologies
- Knowledge of safety programs and requirements
- Knowledge of environmental programs and requirements
- Knowledge of food safety programs and requirements
- Understanding of standard software applications
- Basic leadership skills
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Able to move freely throughout the facility to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), walking on elevated bar-grating platforms, carrying tools and equipment (0-50 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus, hard hat, safety glasses, protective footwear, and other PPE as required. Required to travel to remote AgriBusiness facilities.
