Summary
Our sales team is growing and looking for a Field Sales Marketing Associate supporting our team in the New York City area. The Field Sales Marketing Associate is responsible for executing marketing campaigns at the retail level to drive sales and brand awareness for CVP (Bulk) and packaged goods (CPG) products by directly interacting with store personnel, managing in-store promotions and collaborating with retail partners to maximize product visibility and sales within a designated territory.
The salary range for this position is $56,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Retail Execution: Conduct in-store merchandising activities, pricing, accuracy checks, product lines displayer to ensure optimal product visibility. Implement promotional plans including coupon distribution, sampling events and point-of-sale displays.
- Identify at Retail level fab few fresh RTE fresh & frozen. (Win the winners.) Supports development of strategy for protecting, growing, and diversifying the relationship with targeted customers.
- Build relationships with store managers and key decision-makers to secure prime shelf space and promotional opportunities.
- Educate customer, assessing customer needs, suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions, overcoming objections and closing sales.
- Engages in business development activities including but not limited to: Identifying potential customers; face-to-face sales calls to new and existing customers; market research; monitoring customers and competitor activity and industry trends. (Pushing fab few – sell what sells)
- Making sales/suggesting orders or contracts away from the employer’s place of business. Developing brand interest/goodwill at Retail level to grow sales & footprint at case level.
- Developing and delivering sales presentations/bids/proposals and product demonstrations away from employer’s place of business.
- Managing interactions with assigned group of existing customers to identify cross/up and repeat sales opportunities.
- Assist with distributive level training/presentations.
- Gather consumer feedback and insights to inform future marketing strategies.
- Execute in-store events and activations to generate excitement and drive trial
- Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to identify retail sales opportunities and develop targeted marketing plans. Monitor sales performance and identify areas for improvement, reporting insights to the marketing manager. Provide support for trade shows, conferences, and other sales-related events.
- Reporting and Analysis: Track key performance indicators (KPI’s) like sales volume, distribution, and promotion effectiveness. Utilized data gained from distribution partners.
Minimum Education and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field. (Preferred)
- Proven experience in retail sales, merchandising or field marketing, ideally with the CPG industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with retail partners and consumers.
- Spanish language skills of high importance.
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel within a designated territory and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is home office based with travel to customer sites and retail stores within the assigned territory.
