The VP of Sales will lead the west coast business as we move forward into the next 100 years of quality products and innovation.  Responsible for the revenue, volume, mix, margins across all Foods sales channels to include providing direction and leadership of to all sales associates. This position will ensure the successful sales of the company's Foods Ready-to-Cook products across channels and will ensure strong sales organizational structure. The position will develop strong business relations with customers in this segment, direct sales strategies and direct customer relations through fact based category information driven to ensure profitability.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages the customer base, sales infrastructure, associates, and Foods business within sales.
  • Develops and executes segment plans to achieve targeted revenue, volume and margin thresholds and manages segment budgets to targeted spending.
  • Maximizes results with appropriate customers by establishing positive business relationships with decision makers leading to accomplishment of identified mutual growth, volume and category goals set within customer base.
  • Assists in the establishment of new products, new customer channels and new business ventures that serve the specific needs of our company.
  • Works with profit management teams to achieve desired mix and sales revenue based on maximizing WBE value in the PMT, while taking into account customer strategy, with ongoing communication of targeted business and results to corporate.
  • Analyzes internal and external generated data to identify, develop and direct sales activities that lead to growth of the company's Foods’ business with existing customers and the acquisition of new business target accounts.
  • Leads in the development, direction and execution of annual operating retail plans for the company Ready-to-Cook group including annual budgets, forecasting expenses and oversight of execution in support of the business strategy.

Minimum Education

Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field of study with a concentration in food CPG retail sales preferred.  MBA or MS preferred.

Experience Requirements

15 plus years experience leading a foods related sales or marketing organization.  Marketing experience is a plus.
