Summary
The overall role of the Assistant Marketing Manager (AMM) is to assist in crafting market strategies & business plans, developing & launching product and packaging initiatives, analyzing market/consumer trends, managing projects, and supporting sales initiatives. This role will report into the Sr. Manager and overall support the Director of Retail, Ready-To-Eat Product Marketing. As a supporting role, the AMM will regularly manage multiple tasks and projects to assist, contribute to, and drive team deliverables and business goals.

The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $95,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Track Metrics: Monitor KPIs and have intimate knowledge of the category landscape.
- Evaluate Success: Analyze data to determine how well a product performs in the market.
- Identify Issues: Spot problems and suggest changes to improve strategies.
- Continuous Improvement: Use insights to refine strategies and product development.
- Business Performance Reports: Construct monthly reports for leadership review highlighting market share and sales performance drivers.
Product Launches and Project Management
- Planning: Create detailed timelines and plans for product launches and projects.
- Coordination: Work with cross functional teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Resource Management: Manage resources and ensure all teams have what they need.
- Execution: Handle all milestones and key deliverables to ensure on-time success.
Messaging and Positioning
- Develop Messages: Craft product selling stories that resonates with Grocery Retailers.
- Understand Product: Work with R&D to understand unique features and benefits.
- Create Positioning: Highlight the product’s advantages over competitors.
- Marketing Campaigns: Provide direction in support campaigns to attract target consumers.
Sales Support
- Sales Materials: Create presentations and product materials to aid the sales team.
- Training: Educate the sales team on product features and updates.
- Support Sales Efforts: Ensure the sales team has all the info they need to close deals.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is required. Our ideal candidate will have/be:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in marketing or related business field.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data and form logical conclusions. This involves understanding market trends, customer needs, competitive landscape, and performance in the marketplace.
- Clear and effective oral and written communication skills. Associates must be able to convey ideas and information to different teams and stakeholders.
- Associate needs to think strategically to align their tasks with the overall marketing goals. This includes helping to develop strategies that improve product positioning and market presence.
- Ability to managing multiple tasks and deadlines requires strong project management skills. Associate should be able to organize their workload efficiently and ensure that projects are completed on time.
- Ability to working well with cross-functional teams is key. Associate needs to coordinate and often lead cross functional teams to support product launches and initiatives.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
