Summary

We are actively recruiting Marketing Specialists to assist the Senior Marketing Manager and Director marketing in the development and implementation of all annual and long-range strategic business plans (objectives & strategies) in support of targeted volume and profit goals. They will lead cross-functional projects to implement product reformulations, cost savings, and packaging initiatives. The Marketing Specialists will track and analyze syndicated research tool (IRI) to develop recommended business. Product lines include RTC & RTE Fresh & Frozen Core. This includes Value-Added Chicken. Brands include PERDUE, Short Cuts, and Private Label.

These positions are based in Salisbury, MD at Corporate Headquarters.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Assists in development and implementation of annual long term strategic business plans for assigned businesses including all objectives, strategies. Collaborates with integrated marketing team in development & implementation of tactics.

2. Assists in achievement of volume and profit goals, brand imagery, brand share and other objects set forth in fiscal year Marketing Plan.

3. Utilized syndicated data to analyze and track brand performance and develop recommendations to improve business results.

4. Provides information to sales planning group in support of sales teams.

5. Participates in creative brief & review process.

6. Manages cross-functional teams (Integrated marketing, Packaging, Operations, R&D) to ensure assigned project get to market on time and are successful.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelors degree or equivalent related work experience in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have:

0-3 years work experience
Consumer packaged product experience is a plus
Strong analytical skills
Ability to demonstrate aptitude for critical reasoning & problem solving
Project management & organizational skills

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
