Perdue Foods is looking for a highly motivated, forward-thinking Social Brand Manager who will be responsible for helping to drive cultural momentum across the portfolio of Perdue Foods’ brands by acting as the voice of these brands and fostering an engaged online community across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and other relevant social media networks.

You will be tasked with bringing Perdue’s brands to life by maintaining a well-articulated brand persona which exemplifies Perdue’s beliefs, values and mission statements.  Through a cutting-edge understanding of best practices, features, strategies and tactics, you will conceptualize and plan an approach for growing followers, engagement, revenue, traffic and customer acquisition.  You will also develop and help create social media content with bloggers and influencers that are aligned with the brand and business goals.

You must be a strong writer – able to quickly turn around responses to comments and questions – and able to spot stories the community would find interesting.  This role will report to the Director of E-Commerce. As the E-Commerce team continues to grow, this person will be responsible for managing direct reports.



This person will be located in Salisbury, MD or Denver, CO.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Build a world-class social listening program that enables us to nimbly insert Perdue Foods’ brands into culturally relevant conversations on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and other relevant social media networks.
  2. Work with E-Commerce and Marketing to brief our social creative team on both long-term and shorter-turn acquisition-focused work that aligns with Perdue’s customer segmentation strategy.
  3. Handle reporting/measurement for our social engagement team to track overall team performance and efficiency of efforts to both deepen relationships with our existing community and acquire new customers.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications. In the absence of a degree, 6+ plus years related work experience will be considered
Experience Requirements
  • 5 minimum years of experience in social media, influencers and public relations.  
  • Proven experience as a community manager either for a consumer brand or at an agency.
  • Deep understanding of social channels, tactics and paid social media tactics.
  • Challenges the status quo, champions change, and influences others to change. 
  • Experience with social media content publishing tools such as Sprinklr, Percolate, Hootsuite, etc. with social media performance metrics including the analytics dashboards on Facebook, Twitter, etc. 
  • Excellent writing skills required. 
  • Photoshop, photography and videography skills are a plus. 
  • Experience producing video content optimized for social is a plus. 
  • Comfortable with numbers and highly quantitative environment. 
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills including written, verbal and listening skills.
  • Experience with Excel, Power Point and Word.
