Summary

We are recruiting for a Strategy Associate Analyst. The Strategy Associate Analyst is instrumental in orchestrating the organization's strategic trajectory through the precise utilization of data-driven insights and advanced analytical methodologies. This position ensures that strategic decisions align with the business's goals, leveraging key industry insights to uncover opportunities and challenges. This position entails the intricate distillation and interpretation of multifaceted datasets to yield insights that serve as the compass guiding strategic priorities and operational blueprints.

 

This is an onsite role in at our Salisbury, MD Corporate Offices.

The salary range for this position is $56,000 - $83,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the annual 5-Year Strategic Plan process, including developing multiyear complex financial models and pro forma projections with business leads, engaging in scenario planning with FP&A leads, defining quantitative strategic objectives, and identifying and interpreting long-term industry trends
  • Develop comprehensive market and competitor analysis by utilizing quantitative competitive benchmarking, conducting thorough analysis of market share dynamics, and staying informed on key industry trends, competitive landscape shifts, and customer preferences
  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of strategic projects by identifying key root causes, collecting and analyzing data from disparate sources, employing segmentation analytics and developing  quantitative KPIs to track initiative success
  • Develop and refine high-quality presentations and other supporting materials for senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Support FP&A with ad hoc projects and routine activities

Minimum Education and Experience Required

Education:

  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Business or other relevant quantitative field
  • Superior academic performance

Experience:

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting, Banking, PF&A or another relevant area

Skills:

  • PowerPoint, Excel, and Cap IQ experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proactive team player with eager intellectual curiosity
  • Effective project and time management skills
  • Open to coaching from senior members of the Strategy and Finance teams

Preferred Education & Experience

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Industry experience in CPG, Foods, or Agribusiness
  • Power BI and Circana experience
  • Orientation towards client service

Experience Requirements

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.
  • May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  • May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  • Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
