Summary

Assists the Marketing department in executing packaging changes, sales communication, along with assisting the cross functional teams are key accountabilities. This position will require the ability to effectively work with our internal teams to ensure all key activities are completed on time.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creates social media content for existing platforms.
  • Develops and executes editorial calendar for social platforms.
  • Maintains social channels and community actively.
  • Researches pertinent topics to share on social media outlets.
  • Monitors social conversations and engage when needed.
  • Develops recommendations for additional platforms relevant to business goals.
  • Keeps current with social networking trends and developments.
  • Analyzes engagement and develops regular reports for various internal audiences.
  • Maintains POS materials and distribution to customers.
  • Prepares newsletter communications for email newsletter.
  • Edits and updates website.
  • Special project planning & execution: trade shows, sales meetings, farm tours and event management.

Minimum Education

Bachlors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.

Experience Requirements

  • 0 - 3 years experiencewith food industry brands or working at marketing or public relations agency.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills.
  • Impeccably organized, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and proactively take on new projects.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must have experience using, managing and creating content for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.
  • Ability to see how social media fits into business strategy.
  • Excellent computer skills knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High degree of internet savvy, with a curiosity and enthusiasm for digital and social media trends.
  • Knowledge of Wordpress.
  • Ability to travel 10-15%.

Experience Preferred

Facebook Blueprint Certification a plus.
