Overview
Perdue Premium Prepared Foods Technical Site Manager is responsible for delivering increased site capacity with controlled cost through leadership, capital projects and most importantly continuous improvement. This position has responsibility for associate development, site engineering, utilities, safety, environmental, equipment reliability, maintenance budget and continuous improvement across the Processing facility. Effectively works with senior site leadership to determine company needs, define strategic plans and assist in execution.
Key Responsibilities
Reliability

Responsible for the management of all site assets to provide a safe, efficient operation.

Ensure maintenance teams have an effective planned/preventive/predictive maintenance program is in place.

Manage technical resources with responsibility for continuous improvement activities.

Manage the operation and assets of the parts room for all locations (processing facility.
-
Manage the operation of the utility areas and deliver reliable service at the least cost.

Manage site shutdown schedules and prioritize work efficiently and safely.

Responsible to establish clear connections points, synergies, and partnerships with Divisional Reliability Manager.

Responsible for Plant Maintenance Budget.

Engineering

Responsible to establish clear connections points, synergies, and partnerships with divisional Engineering team.

Key contributor to site Masterplan and engineering steering committee

System Controls
-
Share capital budget responsibility with Director of Operations and Division Engineering team communication between Corporate Engineering and Operation Managers (processing facility).

Partner with technical resources with responsibility for continuous improvement activities.

Manage the assets and upgrades for controls systems and ensure it is incorporated into the asset health program.

Work with site and corporate resources to ensure the transfer of best practices and standardization of environmental programs from across the division.

Work with divisional and corporate resources to ensure that an effective technical/professional training programs are implemented for associates.

Provide training and education opportunities for site associates that will drive the sustainability and improvement of reliability or engineering programs.

Develop and execute business Company STRAT Plans along with breaking down into sub goals by location and group.
Experience & Educational Requirements
-
Four-year accredited Degree in Operations Management/Engineering/Organizational Leadership with 10+ years (12-15 preferred) experience in high-paced manufacturing environment.

Master’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or Business preferred.
-
Maintenance/Reliability Certifications – CMRP, CRL, CPMM, CMM, etc.)
-
High-level experience in Maintenance and Reliability
-
Large scale multi-site experience preferred.
-
Multi-discipline experience with Manufacturing, R&M, Facilities, Utilities, Capital Planning, and Project Management.
-
Working knowledge of other departments (HR, Finance, Safety, R&D, etc.) and their relationship to manufacturing (experience in Food / CPG manufacturing preferred.
-
TPM or related R&M Program knowledge, execution and adherence.
-
Definitive experience with RCA and associated CI Tools and Principles.
-
Experience in defining, tracking and affecting R&M related KPIs to include spend and labor management.
Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of good personnel practices and a proven track record in effective human relations.

Knowledge of applicable governmental regulations preferred

A strong understanding of process, packaging, utilities, control, and power distribution systems.

A strong understanding of maintenance practices and risk management techniques.

10 years required overall experience in maintenance AND a min of 5 years as a Maintenance Manager responsible for a team of 5+ direct salary and 50+ indirect hourly reports.

experience in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (IBM Maximo preferred) is required.

CMRP, CRL, CPMM, CMM or CRE certifications are preferred

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
-
Position requires the ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities.
-
Exposure consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
-
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
-
May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
-
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db
-
May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
-
Must be able to climb vertical heights (0 – 150’) carrying tools and equipment (0 – 50 lbs.).

Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.

May need to move equipment occasionally.

May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.
