Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness is in search for a Union Grain Laborer in Chesapeake, VA. The Union Grain Laborer is responsible for providing housekeeping and general labor duties throughout the grain elevator.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform routine housekeeping requirements as directed.
Perform other routine labor tasks as directed.
Perform all work within the safety guidelines established by local state, and federal agencies as well as company policies.

Minimum Education

High School or GED (required)
Further education is preferred

Experience Requirements

TWIC application is required
Outdoor work experience preferred
General industry safety knowledge
Must possess basic computer skills and be familiar with operating a process from a computer-based system
Multi-tasking a must

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.
