Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with the Job Preview Program (JPP). Responsible for conducting the New Hire orientation program and assist in introducing the Newly Hired associates to their new work area. 

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for introducing newly hired associates into the organization through orientation sessions under the direction of the Associate Relations Representative.
  • Coordinates with Line Leads, Trainers, and Retention Supervisors to ensure the newly employed associates are properly informed of policies, procedures, health and safety guidelines. Reporting issues to the Associate Relations Representative.
  • Coordinates with the Staffing Recruiter to ensure that all new hire paperwork is together prior to New Hire Orientation. Completing the New Hire packets/folders and filing.
  • Work with Associate Relations Representative to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing, and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, lockout-tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.
  • Any other or additional duties assigned by Supervisor and/or Management.

 

Minimum Education

High School or equivalent. A minimum of 1 (one) year of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years. 

 

Experience Requirements

  • Experience in poultry processing/manufacturing environment.
  • Proven success in handling responsibilities and confidentiality. 
  • Demonstrated ability for accuracy, meeting deadlines, experience in multi-tasking and ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent computer skills required. (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook) 

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  1. Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings and to the production floor.
  2. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.
  3. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
  4. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces; May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity; May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit; May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db; May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility; Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
