We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Creative Services to lead our in-house creative agency within Perdue Farms. The Director of Creative Services will play a pivotal role in driving brand development, creative strategy, and the execution of innovative and effective marketing and advertising campaigns. This role demands a visionary leader with a strong understanding of CPG, branding, and a proven track record in supporting and producing compelling creative content. The position is critical to managing and maintaining the brand guidelines to ensure that all creative developed by her/his team is excellent quality and aligned with the specific marketing channels.  It is critical the DCS can balance the passion for creative and requirement to generate engagement and conversion in fast paced environment.  In addition, the DCS will oversee the creative team as well as a client services role and be a critical link with external creative agency teams. Asset adaptation, development and production will span all media channels except broadcast TV which we will maintain with our outside agency of record.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Brand Aesthetics Management & Development: Oversee the development and maintenance of the company's brand identity, ensuring it remains consistent, relevant and impactful.
  • Creative Strategy: Develop and execute creative strategies that align with the company's brands and marketing objectives, ensuring consistency and innovation in all creative materials. Single point of contact for all branding creative decisions and be an influencer for merchandise and partnerships that will/can impact the brand impression.
  • Campaign Development: Conceptualize and execute integrated marketing campaigns that effectively communicate brand messages and drive consumer engagement. This includes digital, print, social media, and video campaigns. Be able to efficiently develop multiple creative options for different marketing channel that support a test and learn environment.
  • Creative Direction: Direct and critique the development of creative assets, ensuring they meet quality and brand standards. Provide clear feedback to team members for continuous improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, inspire, and manage a multidisciplinary creative team, including art directors, copywriters, designers, production specialists, and client services/trafficking. Provide guidance, mentorship, and foster a collaborative, creative environment.
  • Budget Management: Collaborate with the Finance department to manage the creative agency's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and capital needs of the creative studio.
  • Client Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as product managers, sales teams, and marketing departments, to understand their needs and align creative efforts with business goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards for the agency's creative output, ensuring it meets regulatory requirements, is error-free, and resonates with the target audience.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs and track the performance of creative initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

Minimum Education and Experience


Bachelors in Graphic Design, Creative or Art discipline, Fashion Design or Digital Design with 10+ years of experience either all or in part working with consumer packaged goods brands. 


The ideal candidate will also:

  • Have a solid foundation in using creative tools for both digital, print and video mediums such as: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Corel Draw. 
  • Be comfortable in a test-and-learn creative environment. Needs to be able to work in ambiguous situations as we are developing brands at varying levels of maturity and flexibility is key.
  • Have exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Be a strategic thinker with the ability to translate creative concepts into tangible results.
  • Demonstrated history of strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Have great attention to detail.
  • Have the ability to manage teams of creative associates.


Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements


Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
