Summary

We are hiring for a seasoned Live Production leader to join our team at Corporate HQ.  This person will be responsible for all aspects of live production planning, Pullets, Hens, Eggs, and Broilers. In addition, they will develop, manage, and execute the digital road map to optimize current and future systems, data, and technology within live operations. This includes leading business process reengineering for live operations and data governance.    The Director will have full ownership of MTech planning modules, standards, forecast and reporting. This includes modeling, data analysis and identifying the best possible outcomes to meet the business needs. Additionally, they work jointly with IT and Data Governance to establish and uphold best practices for live operations. This includes data stewardship, data strategy and analytics. Meanwhile, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining standard reporting for live operations along with delivering outcomes through data analytics and be forward looking at new and emerging technology that could be deployed to further maximize desired results.  

This position will identify opportunities within the current system architecture, maximizing existing resources and infrastructure, while building a multi-year plan to optimize and monetize them. This includes I.A.S (industrial automation system, Beta Raven), Analytics Ecosystem (Power BI/ Snowflake/Dataiku) and E.R.P. (enterprise resource planning, MTech / SAP) systems. Moreover, the Director will have responsibility for change management, scope definitions, cost / benefit analyses, project management and implementation coalescing for maximum benefit, user adoption, and R.O.I. This position would have direct or dotted line responsibility for associates planning breeders, egg production, hatchery planning, chick placements and harvest schedules. This position works closely with IT, data governance, live accounting, live production managers and directors and supply planning management. 

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and execute a multi-year digital transformation road map for all of live operations. Technology and systems (current & future) with priority, cost / benefit, pain points, resources, and timelines. 
  • Reengineer and standardize live systems and reporting to establish best practices jointly with Live, IT, Data Governance and Accounting teams. 
  • ​​Oversee all live systems and associated data – Integrating and optimizing them for data use, planning functions, reporting and overall system use for maximum benefit. ​
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses in Live Operations – Mainly in the areas of performance, planning, logistics, capacity, what-ifs, impacts given changes in parameters.
  • Work closely with supply planning to enable order fulfillment, adherence to volume and average live weight goals while meeting live production goals

Minimum Education and Experience

REQUIRED: ​ Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, Data Analytics, or related field, and 8+ years or relevant experience.  They must have strong analytical skills and ability to anticipate, plan, understand business and project outcomes with varying parameters. They will be highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Access, Word, Outlook etc. ​ 

 

PREFERRED: Masters Degree and 10​+ years of prior industry experience to include Live Operations, I.T., PMO, Supply Planning or other applicable areas.  Prior experience with M-Tech, Power B.I, SQL, SAP, ​Snowflake, Dataiku

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

1. Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. 2. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another . 3. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. 4. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment. 5. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
