Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness has an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Electrician at our facility located in Salisbury, MD. This position is responsible for maintaining, servicing, and performing repairs on equipment in order to ensure proper operation of production equipment and electrical systems.

Selected candidate will have the opportunity to attend IECC apprenticeship program.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform routine preventative maintenance on Industrial Electrical equipment
Diagnose failures to industrial electrical equipment and make repairs to 3 phase motors and controls. Including VFD and components.
Compile and complete paperwork relative to repairs to include but not limited to work orders, time cards and job cards
Perform all work within safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policies
Respond to calls after hours and on weekends to repair mechanical equipment failures
Perform other assigned tasks as assigned.

Minimum Education

High School or equivalent required
Associate Degree preferred

Experience Requirements

1-5 years of Industrial electrical related experience with strong knowledge of 3 phase motors and controls (Starters, VFD's and PLC's)
Reading, writing and analytical skills are required
Must have all personal tools and have the ability to learn to use and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Able to move freely throughout the Agribusiness facility
Climbing vertical heights (0-20")
carrying tools and equipment (0-20 pounds)
Exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit)
Humidity, (0-100%)
Noise (50db to 100db)
