Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness is seeking a Sustainability Intern to assist with the development and implementation of the '25 Perdue Sustainability Program. 

This Internship will provide an opportunity for hands-on, real-world experience in various departments throughout the company.

 

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in discussions with Strategic Sustainability partners 
  • Manage and interface with Perdue Sustainability Program growers
  • Recruit new grower customers into Perdue Sustainability Program
  • Manage/track/verify grower sustainability data in Perdue systems
  • Assist with development of new carbon emissions tracking software

 

Minimum Education

  • Must be a Junior or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelors degree at an accredited university in a relevant field of study
  • Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA or higher

Experience Requirements

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have strong communication skills including written and verbal.  Must be able to work independently or in teams.  Some positions may require travel to other facilities.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

  • Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.  May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db. to 110 db.
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
