Summary

Perform Quality Control on the incoming ingredients and feed manufactured to the standards outlined in Perdue's Quality Control program. Assist with other jobs throughout the plant whenever there is a need. Schedule is Monday through Friday 6:30 am - 4 pm. Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays as needed by operations and approved my management.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Follow and implement all standard operating procedures of the Perdue Feed Mill quality control program.
Perform quality checks and inventory control throughout the Feed Mill. Use different computer programs for data entry.
Be an effective communicator with all departments within the Feed Mill, live production departments and corporate officials.
Cross train in related areas to assist when associates are out of work.
Must be self motivated to stay busy even when not under close supervisor.
All other tasks as assigned by management.

Minimum Education

High school or GED equivalent.
Must possess strong reading, writing, math and computer skills.

Experience Requirements

Worked a minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer in the past 3 years.
Two or more years of feed mill manufacturing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to perform basic math functions to create accurate reports and maintain inventory levels.

Experience Preferred

Two years prior feedmill experience.
Proficient use of computer and multitasking in multiple programs. Experience working with Quality Control is preferred.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is exposed to environmental temperatures to include extreme cold, heat and humidity.
Work is in a dusty and odorous environment associated with feed mill manufacturing.
Must be able to navigate uneven terrain.
Must be able to climb steps and ladders.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Must wear all personal protective equipment as required by safety programs.
